From scenario to everyday
This math, every day, with your real numbers
The calculator shows one scenario. DATAVIZPRO builds the P&L of your operation on its own: it reads sales, commissions, refunds and chargebacks from ClickBank, Digistore24 and BuyGoods, adds your ad spend and costs, on top of the tracker you already use.
- Net profit by offer, campaign and affiliate
- Refunds, chargebacks and reserve tracked daily
- In US dollars, Brazilian reais or euros
- 7-day free trial on affiliate plans and a 30-day money-back guarantee
How we calculate
The formulas, no black box
Every calculation, step by step. They are the same for any platform: what changes is each platform’s fee, commission base and reserve.
Affiliate
- Clicks
- Ad spend ÷ CPC
- Sales
- Clicks × conversion rate
- Commission per sale
- Average order × commission (on ClickBank, on the price after the 7.5% + $1 fee)
- Net commission
- Sales × commission per sale × (1 − refunds − chargebacks) − taxes
- Net profit
- Net commission − ad spend − other costs
- ROI
- Net profit ÷ (ad spend + other costs)
- Net EPC
- Net commission ÷ clicks
- Max CPC
- (Net commission − other costs) ÷ clicks
- Break-even conversion
- (Ad spend + other costs) ÷ (clicks × net commission per sale)
Vendor
- Gross revenue
- Orders × average order value
- Net revenue
- Gross revenue × (1 − refunds − chargebacks) − taxes
- Platform fees
- Orders × (order value × fee % + fixed fee)
- Commissions
- Affiliate orders × commission × commission base × (1 − refunds − chargebacks)
- Contribution margin
- Net revenue − fees − dispute fees − commissions − product and shipping
- Net profit
- Contribution margin − ad spend − fixed costs
- Max own-traffic CPA
- Order value × (1 − refunds − chargebacks) × (1 − taxes) − fee per order − dispute fees per order − product and shipping
- Reserve held
- (Revenue − fees − dispute fees − commissions) × reserve %
Assumptions
- Amounts in US dollars. The labels say month, but the math works for any period (day, week, campaign).
- Refunds and chargebacks return the full sale to the buyer and reverse the affiliate commission.
- The platform fee on a refunded order is not returned. This is a conservative assumption: some platforms return part of it.
- Product and shipping count on every order, refunded ones included, because the product has already shipped.
- The reserve is not a cost: it is your money, released after the hold period. It does not change profit, it changes cash.
- Platform terms are the public ones as of November 2026 and may differ on your account. Adjust them under “Platform fees and taxes”.
Fees and reserves by platform
What each platform publishes about its fee, commission base and reserve. When it does not publish a figure, the calculator uses an estimate marked as such: always check your contract.
| Platform | Fee per sale | Commission on | Reserve | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ClickBank | 7.5% + $1 | Price after the fee | 10% for 12 weeks (standard) | For vendors, a chargeback fee from $22 and $1 per refund. The reserve can go up when refunds are high. Also charges $5 per payment. |
| Digistore24 | 7.9% + $1 | Full price | 10% for 60 days | Affiliates get 90% after 14 days and the remaining 10% after 60 days. Refund and chargeback fees not published. |
| BuyGoods | Not published (estimate: 10% + $1) | Full price (estimate) | Rev-share affiliates: 10% held as a deposit for refunds and chargebacks up to 180 days | Vendor fee and reserve are not published: ask your BuyGoods account manager for your terms. |
| JVZoo | 5% on sales | Full price | Not published | Most common for digital and marketing products. |
Glossary
- EPC
- Earnings per click: how much commission each click brings in. Net EPC is the same figure after refunds, chargebacks and taxes.
- CPC
- Cost per click: what you pay, on average, for each ad click.
- Max CPC
- The CPC that brings profit to zero. Pay less than this per click and the campaign is profitable.
- CPA
- Cost per acquisition: how much ad spend it takes to make one sale.
- ROI and ROAS
- ROI is profit divided by what you spent. ROAS is revenue divided by ad spend. A ROAS above 1 can still lose money after fees and refunds.
- Average order value
- Average value of an order, adding the main product, upsells and order bumps (AOV).
- Chargeback
- When a buyer disputes the purchase directly with the card issuer. The sale is reversed and the platform usually charges the vendor a fee.
- Reserve
- Part of your payout the platform holds for a while to cover future refunds (holdback, return allowance). It is released to your balance later.
- Contribution margin
- What is left from sales after the costs that grow with every order, before ad spend and fixed costs.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the profit of a ClickBank offer?
Start with the commission: ClickBank takes 7.5% + $1 from the price and your commission is calculated on what is left. Multiply by the number of sales, subtract the commissions reversed by refunds and chargebacks and, finally, what you spent on ads. The calculator does all of it and shows every line.
What is the maximum CPC I can pay?
Your net EPC: what each click brings in after refunds, chargebacks and taxes. Pay less than that per click and the campaign is profitable. If you have other fixed costs, they also need to fit, and the calculator already deducts them.
What is the difference between ROI and ROAS?
ROAS is revenue divided by ad spend. ROI is profit divided by what you spent. A 1.3 ROAS looks fine, but after platform fees, refunds and chargebacks it can turn into a loss. That is why the calculator shows net profit and ROI.
Why is the reserve not shown as a cost?
Because the reserve comes back to you after the hold period. It does not change profit, but it locks up cash: with 10% held for 12 weeks, part of what you earned this month only becomes available three months later. That is why we show available cash separately from profit.
As a vendor, how much can I pay per sale on my own traffic?
In vendor mode, the max own-traffic CPA is what is left from a sale after refunds, chargebacks, taxes, platform fees and product and shipping. Pay less than that in ads per sale and every order from your traffic is profitable before fixed costs. The calculator also shows what an affiliate sale costs you, so you can compare both channels.
Is the calculator free? Are my numbers saved?
It is free and needs no sign-up. The math runs in your browser and your numbers are not sent anywhere. Only if you ask for the report by email do the scenario and your email go to our server, to build and send the message.
